This summer I:
won a grant to get free flight training for my private pilots license, 8.3 flight hours logged so far
got scuba certified
havent been able to get around to music because of all the above, and I still dont have a decent set of headphones... but my mixes sound fine to me imo... idk someone tell me otherwise

You know man, i think you struggle so much to have 2 minutes with immense amounts of epicness and variation that you can't keep up this level of work throughout a whole track.And thats the main reason you can't finish your tracks.
Take my advice, sometimes less is more.Take your time when building a track, don't just drop the bomb right away.Anyway hope everything is going well and you get your pilot license so i can hire your ass for my pravite plane (i wish).
youre definately right, less is more. (but i must say its hard not to drop the bomb right away.) and I would gladly be your private plane pilot once i nab those commercial+multiengine+instrument licenses lol
