flavorful, minty and fresh

nice drums and everything fits nicely, 8/10 becuz not enough pads imo but its awesome

Kalapsia responds:

OH MY GOODDDDDDDDDDDDDD THANK U BICC BOIII i would review your tracks but fucking chrome is always glitched where i cant hear anything or play anything on newgrounds.. fucking flash anf fucckin chrome man

i think it needs more melody stuff

bring up the melodic stuff id say, i kno its ur style but im not much for the bitcrushed snare+kick.
a pad serenade in the background would fill it out id say

AeraDynamic responds:

it has no bass yet but the main synths are already there, just need to arrange it properly and write a liquid -ish bass to it, add some stabs that give it bit of a evil touch ( i like the contrast) will do it later sometime

bass is prty cool, needs to be more organized tho

when it comes to bass mods less is more, find parts in the beat where the reese sounds really sick, keep those, and then replace the rest with something more melodic like a non modulated distorted reese where you can tell the melody.
sweet beats though, also the 200 hz is distorted slightly on the snare, but its not that noticeable. good work tho. Also it could use some crazy neurofunk edits with random other breaks thrown in. For instance after the first kick in your beat, cut the rest of the beat including the snare until the kick, and play some really crazy fat reese inbetween to fill the space, it sounds intense if done right lol

kulajs responds:

Yea man i agree with you,and sure i must add some crazy breaks in this it lacks some energy. Thanks for feedback i appreciate that:)

so good,,,

your transitions are like the best on this site, and break rhythm is top notch, seriously my mouth is watering here

Halotopic responds:

Cool! I´m working hard on those breaks =)

Thank you!

awesome

some of the resonances seem way too loud tho on both flangers and filters, id definately tone em down

Halotopic responds:

They make for a chemical effect. I think i´ll keep the filters as they are, but maybe tweak the gain a bit better.

Thank you!

Has sooo much potential...

Melodies are soo good, build up is fantastic. Drop at 0:49 is really cool, but it sounds more like a sub drop and a primary heavy drum beat at 1:12 should drop imo. I also love the modulation. But the drums, dont even get me started about them... Snare has not enough power, no 200hz, too much hi mids, kick has no bass, hats do not flow well, lol/ Its a great track, it could simply be soooo much better. Also I would love to collab on this with you unless you want it to be just ur track which id also understand.

alertG responds:

Hey thanks. I really trust your judgement because I know how good you are with beats especially dnb. I was concerned about the song getting boring with the intro right at 0:49. But i could make it better. It would be a cool drop. I'll shoota PM about a collab.

All my music I put out I dont really care who uses it as long as they dont steal it, especially since music is just fun for me!

change the genre right now

how is this dnb i ask you? decent song otherwise ut could use some more elements

TPMC responds:

Explain further on what you think it could use I would like any ideas and hints. Also, I never really listened to MUCH dnb but I browsed a few songs on here that stated to be dnb and they sounded similar. Could be just morons like me putting songs up as dnb. I suppose it would fit better under a different category...hmm

Eh?

how is this drum n bass? Also, your bass drum is clipping... and the saw instruments are simply too overused

BurnedVirus responds:

Woa oops actualy my bad, not suposed to be in drum n bass. Thanks for your review.

Needs work, but nice atmosphere

Drums do not punch through enough, the snare is especially weak, has little to no snap (at first it has good snap). Also, drumstep is punctuated by fast non repetitive beats, but here it's mostly the same beat with little or no intense variation with a cerbera bass and string in the background. Also you should grab a new sample for the kick, something that hits lower (maybe a lowpassed synth kick layer it under the amen?). Also, it needs transitions. It seems to jump randomly from section to section without any dynamic changes... Flippin delicious example of drumstep: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClpQLb LzR4k

YouriX responds:

Thank you for the review. I will work on these points. ;)

Wait a second!! This IS DRUMSTEP!! It has a Halfstep drumbeat! And wobble bass. The variation in drums is just preference!

Drums are nice! Cool sequencing

reese needs alot more work though. The fruity phaser really ruins reeses if you ask me.

AvizuraNG responds:

Thanks SteakJohnson,
I didn't use a phaser, I don't know but I did something that makes the reese sound like it's phasing.

Anyways, Thanks :)
